For the discerning owners of AKASTI, yachting has never been a pastime but a lifelong pursuit of excellence. Since the early 1990s their voyage through the world of fine yachts has been marked by meticulously chosen vessels—among them three Ferrettis of 39, 54, and 68 feet, each acquired through EKKA Yachts during our tenure as Ferretti’s exclusive dealer. These were not casual purchases but deliberate steps in an enduring relationship with craftsmanship, performance, and timeless design.
Then came a pivotal moment. In 2016, at an exclusive boat show in Florida, they encountered something extraordinary: the newly unveiled Sanlorenzo SL86. Instantly captivated by its lines, elegance, and sheer presence, they knew they had seen their next yacht. That spark of inspiration stayed with them. Years later, when EKKA became the official Sanlorenzo Yachts representative in Greece, that dream was finally within reach.

They commissioned their AKASTI well ahead of her delivery—months in advance of the October 2024 handover. But the yacht wasn’t simply ordered; it was envisioned, curated, and brought to life through a deeply personal process. The entire family became immersed in the customisation journey. Every line on the layout was reviewed through the dual lens of private retreat and charter‑ready precision. Every element of onboard life—technical systems, materials, finishes, equipment—was hand‑selected with intention.
This wasn’t their first yacht, but it was the first they had seen come to life from blueprint to launch. They watched the dream take form, first in 3D renderings, then in scale models, and eventually in steel, teak, and glass. They visited the shipyard frequently—each trip a chapter in an unfolding narrative.
One unforgettable moment: the christening of AKASTI at launch, with the traditional champagne ceremony and a sense of wonder that no photograph could capture. Sea trials followed on the Ligurian coast, with the same captain who had helmed their previous vessel by their side – a symbol of continuity in a story of evolution.
Our experts were there every step of the way – assisting not just with the construction process but with sourcing a professional crew, advising on charter positioning, and ensuring that AKASTI would arrive in Greece ready to stand as both a private haven and a commercial success.
AKASTI was entrusted to EKKA’s charter management division and is now offered as a charter yacht with a professional edge – featuring hotel‑grade amenities, a wide array of sea toys, and a highly skilled crew, including an exceptional chef.
Sanlorenzo is renowned for its bespoke approach, and AKASTI is a perfect example of that ethos. Her layout features design elements usually reserved for larger yachts – most notably, a crew circulation pathway that begins at the galley, entirely separating guest and crew areas. This thoughtful segmentation ensures complete privacy for guests while allowing the crew to operate efficiently and discreetly.
A yacht born not from a catalogue, but from a shared vision. A vessel that turns every journey into something personal.
