Naples to Palermo Route: La Dolce Vita Our way

Posted by Ekka Charter Team on Apr 18, 2019 9:03:50 PM

Our new Italian itinerary is in and it is nothing short of spectacular.

Life is a combination of magic and pasta.”

Federico Fellini

A wonderful alternative to a Greek islands’ tour, the Naples – Palermo itinerary and its variety of locations shares the blue waters, the island charm, the interchanges between rugged landscape and silky sandy beaches and many of its myths with its Greek counterpart (Odysseus, after all, spent a significant part of his journey around Sicily). Yet it is a completely distinct, full-bodied Italian journey, one that has its own allure, incomparable to anything else in the world.

We provide an experience based on Italy’ s finest: a journey that begins in Naples and finishes in Palermo cruising through the Amalfi Coast, the Aeolian and Aegadian Islands to end in Sicily: from the idyllic comfort and luxury of your yacht, you will visit some of the country’ s most popular, and some of its most secluded spots. Guided by our charter team, you will explore the…harmonious diversity that characterizes Italy: the rustic and the cosmopolitan, the ancient and the ultra modern, the simple and the lush.

"The Amalfi Coast, the Aeolian and Aegadian Islands, Sicily: experienced from the idyllic comfort and luxury of your yacht"

You can pick and choose your perspectives throughout your trip. Some days you will want to gaze at the landscape from the seclusion of your aft deck and your own private cove for swimming. Other times you will want to experience the typical Italian/Sicilian hospitality, walk around a piazzetta at dusk, eat the creamiest fresh cannoli or do some sightseeing of things centuries of years old. We are sharing our experience and Italy is your oyster!

 positano

"Positano, a pastel jewel stacked upon sapphire waters."

Leaving Naples behind, you will spend the night in Positano, a pastel jewel stacked upon sapphire waters. The Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site, reveals inviting seas, dolphins swimming next to your yacht, islands with diverse personalities, local delicacies. Of course, you will stop at Capri, one of the most glamorous destinations on Earth, for a stroll and a tangy local limoncello! Then it’ s off to the Aeolian Islands and to Stromboli, one of three active Italian volcanoes, home to azure waters, black lava beaches and whitewashed villages. Panarea is a perfectly balanced combination of down-to-earth Italian living with a gracefully fashionable, exclusive side, while Salina and Vulcano offer quieter, quainter charms. The latter is known for its soothing sulfur mud baths and after a visit there, your chef can prepare a wonderfully light meal along with a chilled local wine, for the perfect end to a relaxing day dedicated to your well being. Of course, whenever you feel the need for more excitement, everything necessary is on board and your crew will help you to it: skis, wakeboards, jet skis, masks and snorkels for underwater exploration.

Filicudi

Filicudi Island, a natural paradise that takes you back in time.

The most western of the Aeolian Islands, Filicudi and Alicudi, are natural paradises that take you back in time; there are even prehistoric villages here. These gems provide the perfect backdrop for withdrawing from the rest of the world! With your yacht at anchor just off a secluded beach, you can have dinner under a spectacular canopy of millions of stars and wake up for a morning swim without anyone around.

cefalu

"The popular port village of Cefalu marks your entrance to magnificent Sicily"

Your arrival to the popular port village of Cefalu marks your entrance to magnificent Sicily, the largest island of the Mediterranean Sea; so many histories and people cross over in this one place. An early morning cruise to Castellamare del Golfo and San Vito Lo Capo will give you the opportunity to marvel at their wonderful natural habitats while traversing (and of course swimming in) their sapphire waters. The Aegadian Islands of Levanzo, Maretimmo and Favignana, unsung heroes of the Mediterranean holiday experience, will introduce you to one of the most authentic parts of Italy, where body and soul relaxes like never before! Ask your crew to advance-book you a ticket to the Grotta del Genovese, a cave with Neolithic and Palaeolithic paintings, one of the most impressive spectacles of the area. No touristic hubbub here: just amazing, dramatic landscapes, incredibly fresh seafood, and all the peace and quiet you could wish for. Trust your captain to know all the area’ s marine secrets; he will chart daily journeys that you will never forget.

Palermo, the capital of Sicily, is the last stop of your journey. Approaching it while languidly cruising on the Tyrrhenian Sea is an experience as powerful as walking its streets: the colors of the coasts are luscious, and man-made civilization both complements and contrasts nature in spectacular ways. Even for a day, walking around will reveal a city that is unique as it is complex and rich. It is the perfect Italian finale to your trip.
